At Shivaji Maharaj America Parivaar (SMAP), our unwavering vision is to harness the inspirational legacy of real-life Indian National Heroes to mold new leaders. These leaders, ignited by the flame of courage, will fearlessly challenge the status quo, championing the cause of justice and addressing social issues. Our vision extends beyond borders, aiming to foster peace and international understanding, paving the way for a future where every individual receives the support needed to achieve their fullest potential.
We envision the construction of robust communities, underpinned by principles of equity and inclusivity. SMAP’s journey commenced as Shivaji Maharaj America Parivaar, transcending geographical boundaries to form Shivaji Maharaj Antar-Rashtriya Parivaar, exemplifying our commitment to a global perspective.
Recent Accomplishments:
1. Endorsements and Recognition: SMAP has garnered notable endorsements from influential figures, including the Prime Minister of India, Honorable Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Governor of Georgia Mr. Brian Kemp, and Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijay Rapini. Additionally, our initiatives have received acknowledgment from various celebrities and dignitaries.
2. Global Celebration of Shiv Jayanti: In 2022, SMAP orchestrated a grand celebration of Shiv Jayanti in 22 cities worldwide. This global homage to Shivaji Maharaj signifies our commitment to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of India on an international scale.
3. Global Network of Influential Leaders: SMAP boasts a global network comprising prominent leaders from 18 countries actively promoting Indian heritage within their respective nations. This network serves as a dynamic force, fostering cultural exchange and understanding on a global scale.
4. Youth Empowerment: The official launch of the SMAP Youth Club at Mountain House High School in California marks a pivotal step in empowering the next generation. This initiative aims to instill leadership qualities, cultural pride, and a sense of social responsibility among young minds, laying the foundation for future change-makers.
5. Community Service During COVID-19: In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, SMAP stepped forward to donate food supplies to thousands of people in India. Collaborating with organizations such as Sewa International and other non-profits, we served communities at the grassroots level, exemplifying our dedication to societal well-being.
6. Advocacy through Film: Recently, SMAP supported the pre-release screening of “The Kashmir Files” across the United States. The subsequent Impact event in Hollywood, Los Angeles, brought attention to the injustice and genocide faced by Kashmiri Pandits. This initiative underscores our commitment to shedding light on critical social issues and advocating for justice.
